Canadian Artist Expo Workshop
Explore the many opportunities to take your musical career to the next level. The Canadian Artist Expo Workshop is a virtual event happening on Saturday July 10th. Participants will learn how to develop and maximize their brand identity through social media, tips on booking a gig and delivering work. This workshop will also help participants gain insights into acquiring and utilizing funding opportunities for Canadian musicians and understand what event producers look for when booking an artist and making it as a new and upcoming artist. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to ask our international artists questions during the Q&A session. The panellist for this event includes Lucki D, booking agency expert Bob Swire, Carrie Mullings, Allison Hines and Reggie Titian. Click here to register for the event. 2. JerkFest Small Business Building Resilience Workshops Funded by Tropicana Community Services Organization.
Are you a small business owner? Join this virtual workshop on July 24th and 31st for an excellent opportunity to bring your business or brand mainstream and be successful. Participants will learn how to build capacity in the black community, learn about innovative solutions from leading partners in the business, review and understand areas during a festival to maximize customer experience, and leverage social media to grow and promote a business. Participants will also learn about establishing a business within the black community during a pandemic and accounting skills to optimize opportunities to acquire grants, loans, etc. Participants also have a chance to win a giveaway of up to $200. 3. JerkFest Main show
Get all the excitement of music, entertainment and food at this year's Jerk Festival. JerkFest turns 20 years old this year, so don't expect a regular show. This year's show will be like no other, with top headliners and various talented local performances. Even as a virtual show, this year's event will bring all the excitement of music, entertainment and food from August 6-8. 4.JerkFest spotlight showcase
Tune in to watch as JerkFest spotlight new and emerging local Canadian artists. The JerkFest spotlight showcase will be nonstop entertainment by talented local groups and individuals. Performances will include Reggae, Soca, Afrobeats, Gospel and R&B genre.
